Rembrandt Carré Pastels are part of a traditional drawing medium range that draws on centuries-old materials such as chalk, china clay, and natural earth pigments. These pastels are designed for structured sketching and controlled mark-making, offering a firmer alternative to soft pastels while maintaining strong pigment quality.

The Carré formulation uses the same raw materials as Rembrandt Soft Pastels, but with a different binder-to-pigment ratio. This creates a harder, less powdery stick that is ideal for sketching, line work, and tonal studies where precision is more important than blending softness.

The compact nature of the Carré format makes it particularly suitable for quick studies, travel sketching, or as an introduction to traditional earth-based pastel drawing.
